Rostov send warning to Manchester United: This will surprise you


 
ROSTOV boss Ivan Daniliants has warned Manchester United to expect a bumpy ride on their Olimp-2 stadium pitch on Thursday.
 
 The Red Devils have today travelled to Russia for the first leg of their last 16 clash with Daniliants' side.
 
 They will train on the grass surface tomorrow, but that will be the only preparation they get before the knockout action begins.
 
 And compared to what United are used to, the 64-year-old thinks their visitors will be in for a shock.
 
 He said: "The pitch is the same for everyone, but it will still be a problem.
 
 "In the final of the League Cup [when they beat Southampton at Wembley last month], United played on an ideal lawn – it was like a carpet.
 
 "When they arrive here, they will be surprised."
 
 Rostov have already pulled off a shock on their own turf this season, beating Bayern Munich 3-2 in the Champions League group stages.
 
 United's hopes have been boosted by the return of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been absent since the win over St Etienne in the last round.
