Jose Mourinho: I know the people of Manchester will pull together as one
JOSE MOURINHO has expressed his sadness and grief over the shocking terrorist attack on Manchester ahead of United's Europa League final against Ajax.
Mourinho decided to cancel his pre-match press conference, but him and his players will still conduct a walk around the inside of the stadium later today.
Mourinho said: "I know, even during my short time here, that the people of Manchester will pull together as one.
"We have a job to do and will fly to Sweden to do that job. It's a pity we cannot fly with the happiness we always have before a big game.
"We're all very sad about the tragic events last night.
"We can't take out of our minds and hearts the victims and their families."
It has also emerged that United have cancelled a pre-planned staff party scheduled to take place tomorrow night at the Victoria Warehouse in the city centre.
Club bosses have been left distraught by the events and will offer counselling to any members of staff affected by the atrocity.
