MICHAEL LAUDRUP JOINS SWANSEA
SWANSEA City have appointed Michael Laudrup as their new manager.
The south Wales club have acted quickly after former boss Brendan Rodgers left the Liberty Stadium to take over at Liverpool.
Laudrup has previously managed Brondby, Getafe, Spartak Moscow and Mallorca with mixed success.
The 48-year-old enjoyed an impressive playing career in which he was judged to be one of the greatest players of his generation.
The Denmark international played for Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as spending a successful spell at Juventus.
He will be expected to build on Swansea's impressive debut season in the Premier League in which they finished 11th and won many plaudits for their attacking style.
